Privacy
How this website handles your information.
Last updated October 2026
Christian Mandates Organization runs this website. You can read, watch and browse it without an account, and it does not use advertising or sell information about anyone.
What the website collects
- Visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and general details such as country, browser and the page you came from. It uses no cookies and does not identify you.
- Error reports. If a page breaks in your browser, a report goes to our error service, Sentry. It contains only the location of the fault in our code and the version of the site. Anything you typed, the page address, and your name or email are removed before it is sent. Like any web service, Sentry sees the IP address the report comes from.
- Delivery and security. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Videos. Messages are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set YouTube cookies until you play a video.
When you give
Gifts from the United States and Canada are made through forms run by The Great Commission Foundation and its payment provider, Blackbaud. Card gifts in naira are processed by Paystack once that option is available. Your card and contact details go to them, not to this website, and their privacy policies apply. If you give by bank transfer, we receive the details your bank includes with the transfer, and we use them only to record and acknowledge your gift.
When you register for a mission
Registering on this website asks for your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, profession, place of residence, local gospel group, and answers about your travel, the commitment fee, partnership and what you hope for. Taking part in a Christian mission can show your faith, so we treat these details with particular care and collect them only with your agreement, which you give with the tick box on the form. If you reached the form through one of our short links, such as a flyer’s christianmandates.org/go/ address, we also note that link’s code with your registration so we know which flyers help people find a mission.
- Why: to organise the mission, match your payment to your registration using your payment reference, prepare you through training, and contact you about the mission. If you tick the optional box, we also email you about future missions.
- Who sees them: the ministry’s mission coordinators and administrators. They are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website, and confirmation emails are sent through Cloudflare’s email service. We never sell your details or share them for marketing.
- Groups and training: if you join the mission’s WhatsApp or Telegram group, other members of the group can see your number. Training on Google Classroom uses your Google account under Google’s terms.
- Where: Cloudflare and Google process data in several countries, including outside Nigeria and Canada, under their own data protection safeguards.
- How long: we keep registrations for two years after the mission, then delete or anonymise them, except payment records we must keep for accounting.
- Payment receipts: if you upload a receipt when you tell us you have paid, only the mission coordinators and administrators can open it. It is stored privately and deleted 90 days after we confirm your payment, or a year after you uploaded it if the payment is never confirmed.
Some missions still link to registration forms hosted on Google Forms, where the same uses apply. When you email us, we use your message and address to reply.
Signing in to see your missions
If you registered, you can sign in to see your missions and next steps. We email a one-time link and code; there is no password. Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days on that device, until you sign out. Registering or signing in also sets a cookie for a year, only so the menu can show “My missions” on that device; it holds no details about you.
Product analytics, if you allow it
With your permission, this website counts how people use it, such as which pages lead to registering and which flyer link someone followed. Events go to PostHog in the European Union with a random ID stored in your browser. They never include your name, email, phone number or anything you type, and we do not look up your location from your internet address. Nothing is sent if you choose “Don’t allow”, or if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the monthly newsletter, your email address is sent to Mailchimp, which manages our mailing list and sends the newsletter. Mailchimp asks you to confirm, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. The sign-up form on this website loads nothing from Mailchimp and sets no cookies.
Staff accounts
Only the ministry’s staff sign in to this website, to publish content and coordinate missions. Signing in sets a cookie that keeps them logged in. Registrants sign in separately and never get access to the content management system.
